Like many people, I enjoy Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” I also really enjoy hot shirtless men. Go figure. Well this video combines them both. Yum!

Rock of Ages TRAILER
When I was a teen in the land of the 80’s, hair bands were at the height of popularity. As most other teenagers, I spent hours watching MTV’s video countdown and waiting for my favorite Def Leppard, Heart, Whitesnake, or Bon Jovi video to hit the screen. Sadly, hair bands are no more, which is probably for the best, but the new movie-musical Rock of Ages hits theaters this weekend. If you loved 80’s hair bands like me, then you might be just as excited as I am to see this movie.
Music from Def Leppard, Journey, Foreigner, Poison, and Twisted Sister are featured and are used to tell the story about a small town girl and city boy who are trying to fulfill their dreams in rock.
Here’s the trailer.
“I’m Too Sexy”: #1 20 Years Ago
20 years ago (yesterday) Right Said Fred’s single “I’m Too Sexy” reached #1 on the music charts.
I find it hard to believe that 20 years ago, I was a mere 19 year old young man, in college, with a great group of friends (who I still keep in contact with today via Facebook).
Back then, I was still firmly in the closet (holding on with a white-knuckled death grip), but I absolutely LOVED this video. For those who didn’t know it back then, my love of this video makes my sexuality pretty obvious now, huh?
I still love this song. And, hey, it still rings true today. Sometimes, we’re all too sexy for our shirts. 🙂
Here’s a pic of Right Said Fred from 2010. Some work looks like it’s been done, but they still look pretty darn good for almost 60 years of age!

Ricky Martin’s “Glee” Performance: He’s Sexy and He Knows It
A couple of day’s ago, I posted about Ricky Martin’s upcoming cameo on “Glee,” which is slated for next week. Now, we have a video of Ricky Martin singing LFMAO’s “I’m Sexy and I know It” with the “Glee” cast.
If this school were real, I’d have already transferred there!
Here’s the clip.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcCtyMSuyHkCanadian Country Singer Comes Out in Music Video
Drake Jensen, a country singer from Canada, recently released a video titled “On My Way to Finding You.” In the video, Jensen comes out to his fans as a gay man since his co-star and love interest in the video is Jensen’s husband.
Jensen was inspired to do the video by the recent rash of gay teen suicides. He even dedicated the video to Jamie Huber, an Ottawan teen who committed suicide after being bullied.
Coming out isn’t easy for the average Joe, but for those who live in the limelight of celebrity, the process is even more daunting. Kudos to Jensen for making such a bold statement!
Lady Gaga’s “Marry the Night” Video/Film
Lady Gaga has released her latest video for “Marry the Night.” The video, which is more like a short film, is over 13 minutes long. In typical Gaga fashion, the video/film is a tad weird (we start in a mental ward, I think), and it progresses from there. Still, I love the song, and Gaga has a great line,”You may say I’ve lost everything, but I still have my Bedazzler.”
Hope you enjoy. Music starts at approximately 8:00 if you want to skip the non-music portion.
“Hot Damn” by Serious Business
Serious Business, a music group from Portland, OR, has released a YouTube video of their song “Hot Damn.” The video takes a look at what the two singers are attracted to–one of them is straight and the other is gay.
Enjoy!
Mister Chase Does Lily Allen’s “F You Very Much”
Awhile back I posted about YouTube performer Mister Chase doing a sign language parody of Katy Perry’s “Last Friday Night.” Click here to read the post and see the video.
Michael Chase does it again with Lily Allen’s “Fuck You” song. In the video Michael fights anti-gay Republicans in a Mario Bros. inspired video game. Enjoy!
Katy Perry’s “The One that Got Away”
Katy Perry’s new video for “The One that Got Away” is a pretty good song, in my opinion. Even though the ending is sad, I hope you enjoy it. I teared up a little. I’m man enough to own up to that.
Do You Have a Big Bad Wolf?
I ran across the new video by Duck Sauce today called “Big Bad Wolf.” You may remember Duck Sauce’s previous video “Barbra Streisand.”
“Big Bad Wolf” is similar in style. The only lyrics to the song are the title words, but the video is rather, well, interesting. At first, you get a bit tired of the same three words being uttered, but get past it. Focus on the characters and their big bad wolves. When you make it to the club scene where the guys meet the girls, you’ll be glad you stuck around.
Enjoy!
