- What you will find here are my thoughts, opinions, and sometimes (gasp!) judgments on anything from, well, gay topics to not-so-gay issues and everything in between. While I am a gay man, it doesn’t necessarily define everything I talk about, think about, or am interested in.I am also a:
- father to a beautiful daughter,
- a partnerΒ to a wonderful man,
- a friend to those who would have me,
- a college English professor to those who can stomach my academic rants,
- and an author venturing into the world of publication
I am far more than my sexual identity, and with the Internet filled with blogs and websites catering to exposed manflesh (not something I turn a blind eye to, mind you), I wanted to create a blog that covered other issues beyond merely the carnal. I’m not promising I won’t occasionally fall into the pit of exposed manflesh (hmmm, interesting image) and post a picture here and there of a sculpted torso or broach a topic primarily of interest to those of the same-gender persuasion, my posts will cover a wide range of issues–parenting, academia, popular culture, politics, writing, etc.
I hope you enjoy your stay at From Gay to Z.
Take off your shoes. Get comfortable. You’re welcome for as long as you wish to stay. If you’re the last one to bed though, please turn off the lights.

Hi there
I’m a very new author with a very new blog and I’m trying to start interviewing authors once a week. I see you have a new book (that looks very good by the way) and would love to interview you for my blog. I can’t promise you lots of exposure from it as I have a very small following, but I figure every little bit helps, right?
If you’re interested in doing this, please contact me at brynnh87a@yahoo.com
I’ll be contacting you! π
I just read all your Provincetown books and really enjoyed them. It brought back many of my fond memories. Please continue the story of all those characters. Maybe even the wedding of Eric and Brody.
I am now onto “The Gifted One.
Again please continue with the Provincetown gang.
Thank you
A devoted fan ( I am not an Annie Wilkes kinda fan, LOL )
Mark,
Thank you for reaching out to me and for reading my books. I appreciate your support and fond words. I may do a Return to Provincetown Series in the future, but that’s some ways away. I have other irons in the fire at the moment. π
I hope you enjoy The Gifted One. Those boys have a special place in my heart. <3
Hi Jacob,
I just purchased your Provincetown series on Audible. I haven’t listened to it yet. I’m so excited.
π
John, I hope you enjoy the book. Let me know if you enjoyed it.
Hi Jacob,
I just finished your book “The Gifted One”. I cant begin to tell you how much I enjoyed it. What a fascinating love story between a mortal man and an Archangel who would have thought, lol. I just wanted you to know that I really enjoyed the magic between them. I mentioned this book to my mother-in-law and she wants to read it. I will let you know what she thinks. I really love Gabriel and Matt, thank you so much for this. π Any chance of a follow up on this story?
-Richie
Richie,
I’m very pleased that you like the book. Matt and Gabriel are very special characters to me. It always pleases me when readers reach out to me and tell me how much they enjoyed my books and my characters. I’m also thrilled to hear that you recommended the book to your mother-in-law. I hope she enjoys it as well. Right now there are no plans for sequel, but you never know what will happen. π
Hey Jacob,
Thanks for the comments. When I was reading “The Gifted One” I thought of my mother-in-law who is very Catholic but opened minded. After all her son is gay :). She is a wonderful person, anyway I was telling her about this book and how it had so many wonderful references to the bible. I also mentioned that their is detailed intimacy between the characters. She said I want to read it that she loves the subject matter. I cant wait to hear what she thinks of your book. Its funny, I cant seem to get Gabriel and Matt out of my head lol. I’m a true romantic and love a happing ending, my only thought was that Gabriel could have maintained his status as an Archangel and continued to have a relationship with Matt. Who knows in the future, Gabriel’s enemies may seek him out now that he is mortal and Matt hasnt fully reached his potential as the gifted as far as I can tell. Gabriel’s powers may be useful to protect them both from future demonic attacks. Just a thought :). I do love the book it has really touched me in a special way. I will reread it again soon. Thank you Jacob for this terrific novel. I did give this book a 5 star rating on Amazon :).
-Richie
Richie, I can’t wait to hear what your mother-in-law has to say about the book as well. And who knows what will happen in the future? Perhaps I will tell the story about the further adventures of Matt and Gabriel. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for me on Amazon. I really appreciate it.
Hi Jacob!
I just finished BEING TRUE. Loved the entire story. Ah, those were the days! Will be leaving feedback everywhere. Looking forward to the next read. Best to you in the future and have a great Thanksgiving!
Meredith,
Thank you so much for reaching out to me, and I’m so thrilled that you enjoyed Being True. π
Best to you and yours as well!
Hi Jacob,
I just finished reading being true, I loved that book and I have to say I graduated from BHS so it was even more fun to read about it, I just purchased the gifted one I can’t wait to read it tonight.
Valerie,
Thank you so much for reaching out to me. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. It’s always great to connect with a fellow Bulldog! I hope you enjoy The Gifted One, and I hope you have a Happy New Year!
Hi Jacob,
My mother-in-law is still reading the “Gifted One”. She has been quite busy but cant wait to return to the book. I’ll keep you posted. I did give the book to a coworker and she read it in one night. She could not put it down, she loved as much as I did. Thanks again for sharing this with us.
I wish you much success in the coming year. Do you do appearances for your work?
-Richie
Thanks so much for pimping me out, Richie. I truly appreciate it! I go to GRL (GayRomanceLit) every year. It’s a conference for m/m readers and authors. It’s a fun event, and this year it’s in San Diego. Maybe you and your mom could come?
Thanks so much for reaching out to me again. I hope to hear from you soon. π
Jacob,
It’s been such a joy to read your books and get to know you! I’ve read all but 2 (3 & Moral Authority) which I’ll be reading shortly. I’m so excited to hear about your new series with the first coming out on May! You are a brilliant writer with such a great future ahead of you!! Look forward to meeting you at Rainbow Con & GRL along with Mike! Will be following your posts as these 30 days go by! Good Luck on your release and will talk with you soon!!
XXOO
Pam Kay
Thank you so much for reading my books, Pam. I appreciate your support. I can’t wait to meet you either. I won’t be going to Rainbow Con, but we will definitely be at GRL! I hope you enjoy the 30 days of content. π
Hi Jacob, I’ve been reading lots of MM romances when I came across your book Soul Bound…and I love the story! Living in a very conservative country most of my friends do not agree with me reading LBGT fiction but I find most books are quite interesting and informative. I love the way Mason and Drake interact in the story and how true love overcomes all obstacles – can’t wait to read the second book and see how the story progresses next! Thanks for the many hours of enjoyable reading!
Rozana,
I’m sorry it’s taken so long for me to respond. I have been writing nonstop and haven’t checked my website in quite some time. I hope to rectify that now. I’m so glad you are able to read the MM genre and that you have enjoyed my books. Mason and Drake will probably always be my favorite couple in this series because they were the ones who got the whole world started. In fact, I just finished Spell Fall, which is the four book in the series, and Drake is the main character! If you get a chance to read it, I hope you will enjoy it as much as you did the first book. Thanks for reaching out and keep in touch.

Hey π I’m form Germany ( it’s not important to my question but I thought that I let you know so you can see that your books touch/reach people all around the world : ) ) I just finished Being True and it was so awesome *inserts emoji with hearts as its eyes* ;P Even though Rance was a big bully I felt bad for him and for me he was an intriguing character from the beginning so I was wondering if you eventually plan on giving him his own storyline ? cause I feel like his story isn’t over yet ( and maybe be could even see Tru and Javi again )
Hi, Paul from Germany! Thanks so much for reaching out to me, and I apologize for just now replying. Clearly, there’s a problem with the system, notifying me of emails. Plus, I’ve been rather lax in checking my website, while I’ve been writing.
Tru and Javi were such a joy to write, and I didn’t want their story to end. I originally thought about turning it into a series, but for now, I’m keeping them happy as they are.
Rance was a pretty tough character to write. I wanted him to be hated and pitied and ultimately seen as a damaged boy who hopefully will one day receive his own happy ending.
Thanks so much for taking the time to write to me. I hope you will keep in touch. π
Just finished Being True and, like Paul from Germany, I (from Romania) wanted to know when will Rance receive his happy ending.
From the begining, I thought he was a lost soul, searching for his true love ? Hope we will read his story soon, he deserves his second chance.
Now I just have to wait a couple of weeks to reread Being True. Meanwhile, I will enjoy reading the stories of your other characters! ?
Hey, Alexandra. Unfortunately, I have no immediate plans to give Rance his own book. Right now, I’ve got my books planned out until the end of 2017.
Absolutely LOVE your books. I’ve read every single one so far and not one of them has disappointed. Each one has your amazing writing style, its own unique story, passion and emotion, a satisfying length with a good timeline for each MC, everything! The P-town series was great, but my favorite is the Warlock Brothers. I cannot wait for this continuing series. I check up frequently for new release dates. This series has a bit of everything that I love to read about. Please keep writing, you are so talented.
Ali, first of all, I apologize for my tardy reply. WP is supposed to notify me when I have new mail, but clearly there’s been a glitch.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my books, and I’m thrilled you have enjoyed them. I had such a blast writing the P-town books. Those guys really came from such a wonderful place and are dear in my heart. The Warlock books have also been fun, but in a different way. I’ve enjoyed creating their world and have also agonized over it as well. World building can be quite the challenge, but I’m so glad you are enjoying the adventures of the Blackmoor brothers. I just this moment finished up the fourth book. Hopefully, you will enjoy it as well. <3
I just finished Please Remember Me and I wanted to tell you how much I loved it. Your P-Town guys are the best but Santi and Hank blew me a way. Thanks for the wonderful story π
Thank you so much for reaching out to me. I’m so glad you enjoyed Santi and Hank. They hold a special place in my heart. π
Do you have any timetable for the rest of your Havenbridge series? The first three came out at a steady clip, and the fourth took a bit longer. I am very fond of them and am interested in the series future.
Hi, Joshua. Thanks so much for taking the time to reach out and contact me. I truly appreciate it! The fifth book should be out third quarter of this year. π
